The black raspberry cane my brother gave me in April is growing beautifully! In fact, above you can see the first bloom of flowers on June 1st- which means it will produce berries this year. 
This is so exciting because raspberries don't normally produce berries until their second year. My brother must have given me a very healthy cane- thanks Bro!
And here is it on June 23rd- first the whole bush, then a close up of the unripe berries showing up!
